Awa Safe represents a collaborative journey to enhance the safety of Whanganui’s treasured waterway, Te Awa Tupua. Guided by the values of Te Kopuka and the kawa it embodies, Awa Safe is a locally led initiative working alongside iwi, councils, and the community to create a safer, more enjoyable river environment for all.
