Situated adjacent to the Whanganui River, the Top 10 Campsite site provides an ideal spot for relaxation and river activities. As part of the popular Top 10 Holiday Park, it features amenities for campers, including parking, picnic areas, and access to the riverbank. The site is a gateway to enjoying non-powered water sports, such as kayaking and paddleboarding, while offering scenic spots for picnicking and walking along the river trails.

The Holiday Park features well-maintained facilities to enhance the visitor experience while respecting the cultural and environmental significance of Te Awa Tupua. Boat ramp access is not available via the Holiday Park driveway and Holiday Park facilities are for registered guests only.

Gated boat ramp access can be found by the bus stop on Somme Parade. Boat users can call 06 343 8402 for boat ramp access during office hours (Monday-Sunday).

The Holiday Park’s proximity to the Awa – and the nearby picturesque walkway/cycle path to Upokorongo – make it a favourite for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy with the river safely by adhering to water safety guidelines and avoiding hazardous areas. Please note: the boat ramp has a steep drop off – as well as strong currents and hidden floating debris.
